EVERYTHING FOR GEOTHERMAL HEAT PUMPS: GEOTHERMAL COLLECTOR, PROBE, AIR-HYDROACCUMULATOR AND OTHER ACCESSORIES

How are your geothermal products better than other manufacturers?

Since 2006 we have been installing different types of heat pumps. We were not satisfied with the geothermal systems for heat pumps presented on the market, and since 2010 we started our own production, for our own needs.

In addition to installation experience, we accumulated a lot of practical experience in operation and maintenance of geothermal systems - which solutions work well and which create problems. This experience, combined with our own plastic manufacturing facility, allows us to create the best, most innovative geothermal products on the market, at a low cost.

What is the quality of your geothermal products?

We ourselves, and many heat pump colleagues, have been using the products for many years. All the time we analyzed all the breakdowns and wishes. As a result, we have improved the geothermal products and manufacturing technologies so much that we almost never get complaints now. High quality is beneficial for us.

For geothermal products we use high quality virgin polyethylene produced in the EU. Primary polyethylene is always milky-white, homogeneous, opaque material. So that you can check the quality of the material - we do not add pigments to polyethylene unnecessarily.

Can I install a heat pump myself?

You will not be able to install a heat pump yourself 100%. A heat pump is not something that simply connects to the heating pipes and plugs in and «its done». Installing a heat pump involves calculations, designing, connecting the electrical and complex hydraulics, making «fine» adjustments to the heat pump before the first start-up.

Can I make a ground geothermal circuit with my own hands?

There are three basic types of geothermal circuits: horizontal geothermal field, vertical geothermal wells and a water/water system. The first two types are sealed, the third is so-called "open".

The "water"/"water" system requires regular maintenance, so there must be a good reason to use it.

Drilling vertical geothermal wells requires experience and equipment, and there is very little you can do: just dig trenches between the building and the wells.

However, when installing a horizontal geothermal field, you can save money by making the trenches yourself. If the cost of drilling is high in your area, and the site area allows, a horizontal field is a good, proven solution.

Why are geothermal heat pumps so expensive?

The cost of a turnkey geothermal heat pump installed is more expensive than an air-source heat pump because of the ground loop. However, it is this connection to the ground that allows ground source heat pumps to work much more efficiently than air source heat pumps, especially when outside temperatures are low in the winter and you need a lot of heat for heating. In addition, thanks to the separate ground heat exchanger in the ground, the geothermal heat pump is installed indoors, at a stable temperature and humidity, which significantly increases its life compared to an air-source heat pump.

How long do geothermal heat pumps last?

You can expect a quality geothermal heat pump to last 30-40 years - twice as long as an air-source heat pump or boiler. A geothermal heat pump is most often replaced because of obsolescence ("boredom"), not technical wear and tear. And the service life of the ground heat exchanger, the biggest expense when installing a geothermal heat pump, should be over 100 years.

What are the disadvantages of geothermal heat pumps?

The main disadvantages of a geothermal heat pump are:

  • - relatively high installation cost. It is a significant investment, but with a high return and virtually no risk;
  • - the work requires a free surface of the ground. But sometimes geothermal wells are made directly under the building;
  • - installation work will temporarily disturb the beauty of your garden.

How much space do I need to allow for the installation of a ground source heat pump?

Residential heat pumps are installed in the furnace room, utility room, garage or outbuildings, sometimes in the kitchen or "under the stairs". Space inside a building is expensive, and compactness is one of the advantages of our distribution geothermal collectors. The recommended space for a geothermal heat pump, depending on its functionality, is usually 1x2 or 1x3 meters.
