The flowmeter is designed for direct control and balancing of flows in hydraulic system circuits. The integrated ball valve helps to adjust the hydraulic system approximately, or to shut off the flow completely. Together with a balancing valve (wedge gate valve) the flowmeter enables accurate flow rate adjustment in geothermal, heating or similar systems. Correct balancing of hydraulic circuits ensures optimal distribution of energy, resulting in more efficient and economical operation of systems in accordance with energy saving recommendations.
Advantages of flow meters:
With the flowmeter's integrated tap and measuring scale, a qualified installer can set the appropriate flow rate in the system without the need for expensive measuring instruments.
The flow measurement is based on the baffle principle. The flow control valve (ball valve) is integrated in the body. The balancing can be done by turning the stem with a screwdriver or spanner. The flow rate is indicated by the lower edge of the deflector.
Care must be taken during installation to ensure that the arrow on the flow meter is aligned with the direction of fluid flow.
